Project Descriptions

Projects to be undertaken by a student selected to be an REU scholar will be identified by the scholar through mentoring by an ASEP Project investigator and a mentor from the student's home institution. The following project descriptions developed by ASEP Project investigators represent proposals that REU scholars may choose to focus their research on. The project a scholar undertakes as agreed upon prior to beginning the project may be one of these, a part of it, a combination of a part of it with another component, or an entirely different project. An objective of these REU projects is to build scholar skills in design of research projects.
